50411 - Layout of long text is slow on bugzilla bug lists

Rendering of long pages of bugzilla detailed bug lists is very slow. Take a 
bugzilla detailed bug list(>1MB size) and save it to local disk, then reload it 
from disk. It takes more than 90 seconds on Mozilla, compared to less than 5 
seconds on Netscape and IE. This bug is a continuation of bug 29641.

I will try to create an attachment, although the last time bugzilla returned an 
error, probably because the file was large(1.5MB)

Setting target milestone to M18, and severity to critical which were the target 
milestone and severity of bug 29641. This bug continues bug 29641 which was 
fixed for a specific case, but still there are other pages where layout of long 
text is very slow.
Sorry, but Bugzilla returns with error when I try to create the attachment.

What exactly is a "bugzilla detailed bug list"?  Is it the normal query results
page?  What query are you testing?

Go to http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/ and click on the link to
"List of all open browser bugs" in the QA section of the page.
The URL is:

save it to local disk, then reload from local disk.
Although this is not a "detailed" bug list because it doesn't give details of
each bug, it doesn't matter. It takes 60 seconds on Mozilla, compared to 15
seconds on IE 5.

Another case where layout of long text is slow is the URL:
"http://www.mozilla.org/js/language/js20.html"

Again, save this to local disk and then reload. This is a 998KB page that takes
20 seconds to load in Mozilla compared to only about 3 seconds in Internet
Explorer 5 !!!

Setting bug status to New.  Bugs whaich have been triaged to a target milestone
should not be Unconfirmed.
