I have around 29 bookmarks in my Personal toolbar folder. At the end of the 17th, there's a ">>" symbol, indicating that there are further bookmarks in the Personal toolbar than can appear in the window. The >>, however, doesn't remain a comfortable distance from the preceding bookmark. If you resize the window (making it smaller), the >> will superimpose upon the letters of the preceding bookmark, rather than maintaining a set distance to the right of the preceding bookmark. When the >> is superimposed upon the lettering of the last bookmark, it's difficult to see that the >> is there.
Reproducible: Always

Yeah, I see this too on my 2.0b1pre build. It's only the rightmost letters in the bookmark that are affected for me, though. I think this is an old issue, but I'm not sure if it's filed already.

Can you attach a screenshot?
Is this a (recent) regression? (Or MacOSX only?)
[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090711 SeaMonkey/2.0b1pre] (comm-1.9.1-win32-unittest/1247314938) (W2Ksp4)

WorksForMe: the previous bookmark disappears when too near.

In SeaMonkey 1.1.17, this issue doesn't exist. In the personal toolbar file, SeaMonkey 1.1.17 won't allow the >> to be superimposed on the last bookmark on the right, but will force that last bookmark into the vertical list of "overflow" bookmarks.

Ed, I think this can be a theme issue - would you mind checking if this happens with the Modern theme as well?
Yes, you're right! It's a theme issue! The issue disappears when the Modern theme is applied.
And the same is true with the other problem I reported -- where a blank message window opens when you double-click a message in the Inbox in the "Mail and Newsgroups" view. When I switched to the Modern theme and opened a message, it appeared properly.

Well since the bookmarks code has since been totally rewritten to use the Places backend, I'm going to close this bug as INCOMPLETE (well and also WONTFIX for the old code)
