under options/reading&display, the "Automatically mark message as read" function is not working consistently with prior versions of eudora.  when it is disabled, messages that are implicitly displayed in the preview pane should not be marked as read.  this is working properly.  however, messages that are explicitly opened in a new window or tab should be marked as read.  this is not working properly in 8.0b6.
