User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060215 Firefox/3.0.11 Build Identifier: http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.5&os=win&lang=en-US Up to v3.0, firefox will display a nice file dialog if PostScript file printer was chosen. v3.5 no longer has this nice file dialog that the user can navigate. Instead, it just has a simple dialog box edit control. Not very helpful unless one knew the exact file path. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0. Install a virtual PostScript printer (from Adobe for e.g.) 1. File >> Print 2. Select the virtual PS printer. OK. *** a file dialog should pop up for v3.0 *** I thought this is a very nice feature of firefox. Please don't take it away!

This sounds like a change in your Virtual Printer's behavior, not a change in Firefox's behavior. To clarify: If you tick the 'Print to file' checkbox in the Print dialog, you'll get a simple dialog box with a text field. That's always been the case -- I just confirmed this behavior in both Firefox 3.0 & 3.5 (on WinXP) If you don't tick that box (which it sounds like you're not in your Steps To Reproduce), then everything that happens after you press "OK" is managed by the (virtual) printer itself. So, if you used to get a fancy dialog box and don't now, that's because the virtual printer driver was presenting you with one, and now it doesn't anymore. (I just confirmed that I get the expected fancy dialogs when printing to the "CIB PDF Brewer 2" virtual printer from Firefox 3.5.4 on WinXP.) Resolving as INVALID, since any breakage here would be due to the virtual printer itself, as described above.
