I can reproduce this when I try to close the tab. This is definitely the same issue as Bug 477564. I see you already filed this as bug 501438. Despite what seems to have been a mistake in it's resolution there was no need to file another bug.

Sorry, The hang I see and as described in bug 477564 is a temporary hang. How long did you wait for firefox to recover? Does firefox use 100% cpu? Can you reproduce the indefinite hang in Firefox's safe mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode If possible can you determine where Firefox is hanging? follow the instructions at https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg but use this command instead: !analyze -v -hang

This is a dupe of 477564. The large number of form elements and session restore hang Firefox for several minutes. Changing the pref as stated in comment 0 of 477564 works around the issue. http://www.kevinbrosnan.net/tmp/easynews2.php http://www.kevinbrosnan.net/tmp/easynews.php
