Build: 2000-08-26 nightly, MacOS 9.0 To reproduce: * Start the Mozilla installer. * In the license field, drag the scrollbar thumb downwards. What should happen: * The license field should scroll as you drag the scrollbar thumb. What actually happens: * The field does not scroll until the scrollbar thumb is released.

Use the arrow buttons for live scrolling.
No. `Live scrolling' is a property of scrollbar thumbs, not scrollbar buttons. You can't drag scrollbar buttons. <http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/Sample_Code/Human_Interface_Toolbox/ Live_Scroll.htm>
I'm not disagreeing that we should have live scrolling with the scrollbar thumbs, byt merely pointing out that the problem cited (the requirement of two or more scroll operations before a user reaches her/his destination in the document) can be overcome using the scrollbar buttons which scroll smoothly.
