Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) After any time that the Flash plugin has displayed content in full-screen mode, the Alt-D shortcut will no longer focus the address bar. When pressed, the computer simply beeps. This condition survives a restart of the browser and of the computer. The only way around it is to focus the control box (with Alt-Spacebar), after which Alt-D works as normal until the next time Flash is full-screened. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install the Flash plugin and visit a site such as Youtube. View any content in full-screen mode. 2. Leave full-screen mode (e.g. by pressing the Escape key) 3. Press Alt-D to focus the address bar Actual Results: The computer beeps. Expected Results: The address bar should be focused. This has been present since at least 2.0. Shockwave Flash v. 10.0.22.87

I'm not sure I agree with this being marked as a duplicate of bug 78414. That bug seems to deal with Flash itself capturing keystrokes while it's active. In my experience, this bug with Alt-D persists even when the computer or browser have been completely reloaded, when no pages containing Flash are active, and when even Flash itself is disabled. Can you point me to a comment in 78414 that addresses this concern?

yeah sorry, I missed the fact that it still happens when the plugin is closed. I can reproduce this issue too. I noticed that other browsers are not affected by this issue.

Still happening in 3.6 (Win7 [64b]). I thought I had seen an earlier ticket for this, but I can't find it (anymore). F6 works. And alt-d will starting working again after some time, but I'm not sure yet what triggers that.

(In reply to Matthias Versen [:Matti] from comment #5) > Is this still an issue ? Seems to have been fixed at some point.
