I receive a lot of links through Adium and the Mail.app.  Most of the time, Firefox is closed.  When I click the link, Firefox opens, but it is always my homepage.  It never is the link that I clicked on.

If I click on the link once Firefox is already open, then the page opens just like it should.

So far, there hasn't been an app with a link that will open the page like it should.  (I saw a bug for this when I was searching, but it appeared to be Outlook specific, and on the Win platform.)  I have tried clicking the link holding down "Option", so it'll start in Safemode, but it still loads my homepage.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure Firefox is completely closed.
2. Click a clickable link in any program.
3. (To Make it work) Once Firefox is already open, click a link.  Will load the link without any issues.
Actual Results:  
Loads my homepage.

Expected Results:  
Should load the link that I clicked on.
we had a few reports (bug 501115, bug 457572) in the past but it seems to work for most people.
bug 521699 seems to be the same in SeaMonkey 2.0, this might be Mac-only.
