Pan down to the bottom (or near the bottom) of a long page, like http://planet.mozilla.org

It's painful to pan up to the top so you can enter a new web address.

CTRL+L works if you have a keyboard, but not so for softkb or no keyboard.
On the Palm Pre, if you don't have focus on a control, starting typing will show the URL field and let you enter text there. This doesn't help if there's no hardware keyboard, but it's a nice shortcut.

Yeah, my immediate concern was "no hardware keyboard"
This is one of the reasons that we show the titlebar when you pull past either of the two side-edges. Doesn't mean we can't do more to help, of course, but there's always that option.
This bug has been buried in the graveyard and has not been updated in over 5 years. It is probably safe to assume that it will never be fixed, so resolving as WONTFIX.
