What happens when you start TB with the profile manager, can you create a new separate profile? (http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/profile) Also it seems very odd for TB to create a dialog box that clobbers all of Aqua, necessitating a reboot. Does this clear if you force quit? Do you have an actual security device in use, or this a spurious dialog?
nico? what are you results with beta 4?
