i cannot access the yahoo website through firefox, yet i can through internet explorer

i go to yahoo.ca but it gives me an error message, yet this doesn't happen with IE7

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to yahoo.ca

Actual Results:
i was not able to access the website
Expected Results:
i should have been able to see the yahoo website
please fix this bug as i do not like using a different browser just for one website

this bug does not exist, I was able to go on yahoo.ca (ca.yahoo.com).

Alex, try going on it again.
If you can connect to a server in one browser, you can in another.

What for an error message ?
http://ca.yahoo.com/ works for me using SM trunk and FF3.5 on win32

oh well screw that chaps, i think it's my stupid firewall acting up

Probably, make sure that Firefox is allowed to communicate with the internet (although it should be able to with a firewall's default settings, Firefox only uses, by default, ports 21 (ftp), 80 (http), and 443 (https)).

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

Also, please consider using the most recent Firefox 4 beta build, your bug may be resolved there.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
