Build Identifier: 2.0.0.22 (20090605)

I am unable to send email through Thunderbird. My other email program works fine. Every time I try to send an email it fails and the enter password screen comes up. I enter the correct password which I assumed has been saved in the program since I first installed it 2yrs ago but for some reason its not holding.
This is the error screen I see when I cancel the sending process...

"Sending of message failed
The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server xxxxxxx failed.
The server may be unavailable or refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct, and try again or contact your network administrator."

This only started happening recently and only with Thunderbird. My other email programs work fine and send and receive without an issue.

Reproducible: Always
You can see if on options-->security-->passwords-->saved passwords

you have wrong duplicate?
When(with which Tb version) problem started to occur?
Have you checked items listed in following MozillaZine Knowledge Base article?
It seems a dupe of bug #469480.

Feel free to reopen it if I'm wrong.

OUTLOOK AND OUTLOOK EXPRESS sends email without any trouble...I checked the ports and they are correct....I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird but the problem persists.
Did you set SMTP server settings of Tb as ISP requested?
(both ISP who provides connection service and ISP who provides SMTP service)
Is there any announce or guidance at ISP's Web sites?

You say next, and SMTP only.
> This only started happening recently
Has your ISP started "Outbound Port 25 Blocking"?
See ISPs_blocking_port_25 section of MozillaZine Knowledge Base article.
By the way, nobozos@ns.sympatico.ca, please read Bug 469480 Comment #1 well, to which this bug is DUP'ed.
