User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I am a seller on Ebay and have been using firefox for over 8 months now and have never had a problem with it until the recent update . Whenever I try to use the back button after I have sent an invoice or re-listed an item , I get the below message . "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier." I never had this problem before the update . I find this so frustrating that I really am at my wits end with it , I use the back button at least 50 times a day , It is most time consuming . I love firefox but have to say that if this is not fixed I will be going back to IE . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Send an invoice 2.Re-list an item 3. Actual Results: I list my items , Get to the last page that confirms the item has been listed , Then hit the back button to list another item and the message appears every time . Expected Results: One should be able to hit the back button with out having to confirm it everytime. Gone straight back to the previous page .
Workaround: Install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/483 amd middle-click the submit button on the "send an invoice" page. It'll open in a new tab then you can just middle-click that tab to close it. The page for sending an invoice will still be in the original tab and can just be reloaded (F5 or click the reload icon) if need be.

Karina, does the problem still appear in safe mode? If you're getting that message, that means that the page has expired from our cache... That could happen for a variety of reasons, but the most likely are cache preferences being set oddly or an extension doing something weird.

Maybe there was a server-side change? Have you tried going back to Firefox 3.0?

In that case, this is most likely a change on eBay's server and this dialog would appear in all browsers. Most often websites that are setup like this have navigation links on the page itself to go back to the previous page so you don't have to use the browser's back button.

From my own personal experience, clearing the browser cache may fix the issue. To do this, go to Tools->Options...->Advanced, click the Network tab, then click "Clear Now".

Karina, if Michael's suggestion doesn't help, it might be useful to create an HTTP log of the interaction following the instructions at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/http/http-debugging.html and attach it to this bug.
