Pressing ALT + F4 when the autocomplete dropdown is shown should close the window and not just the dropdown. This is not expected behaviour at all, if I want to close the dropdown I press ESC. Feel free to change the severity to "enhancement" or the resolution as WONTFIX if this "bug" is by design and wanted.
using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090726 Minefield/3.6a1pre ID:20090726031934 and the 3.5.1 release on the same computer..
(this might possibly be a DUPE, but I didn't find any other bug on this)

This bug and the one in the See Also was fixed, and the issue no longer happens for me on Firefox 72.
Was probably fixed by bug 1551598
