With no addons installed, Firefox caused this problem. My system is no infected with any kind of virus,etc... 
Details:

1.All history is cleared.
2.History restoration is saying "Unable to process the backup file"
3.Search box does not work (either Enter key or magnifying glass icon clicking does not work)
4.All bookmarks lost.
5.When trying to bookmark a page, while I click on the star sign, it becomes golden(bookmarked) till I click(may be called drag on that.
6.Address bar has no auto-complete or not giving list(even the box) after clicking the down arrow key.
7.Uninstalling Firefox(keeping settings) and reinstalling it does not solve any problem

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.
