After creating the collection you will be redirected to "Manage Collection" page. However there is no link to go to your collection's front page (ie. View Collection page) when you are in the "Manage Collection" page.

If you forget to save the long URL you are stuck and can't view your collection. You would then have to resort to the following workaround:
1) Create a name alias even if you don't want to. (Still you have to type the URL manually to access it. It's very inconvenient)

Solution: Please add a shortcut link so I can go back
to "View Collection" after I finish configuring my collections.

Reproducible: Always
I think this is not a bug. You can access all your collections via Collections (in sidebar) -> My Collections.
Summary: Add-On Collector: Couldn't access the collection again if you forget to save the URL of your collection → Collections: Couldn't access the collection again if you forget to save the URL of your collection
I think this is an enhancement. The OP's conclusions are flawed, but the main problem (no link to the collection's page from the "manage collection" page) does exist.

I suggest we add a link to the collection to the breadcrumbs?

I'll let fligtar have the pleasure of deciding where to put it ;)

Unless you have subscribed the collection. But once created you are redirected to the Manage Collection page. The subscription button is only available on the View Collection page. Name alias is the way to do if you forget to save the guid link of the collection.

Another related enhancement: I think the creator should automatically subscribe the collections he created by default so we don't need subscribe it manually every time we create a new collection.

(Should I file a new bug for this enhancement too?)

This is possible, but unnecessary. All collections you created are available on the "my collections" page like Brian writes. I don't want to discourage you from picking nicknames for your collections (in fact, you are welcome to), it's just not necessary for the reason you describe.

I am not sure why you need to subscribe to your own collections.

Fligtar, Brian: Do the author's own collections not get handled by the collector unless the author subscribes to them? If so, that's a bug in the collector, and the solution is not auto-subscribing, but fixing the extension.

Sure. Separate issue, separate bug.
How come your collection will show up in Add-ons collector if you don't subscribe it?

Please check it yourself. Create a dummy collection. Then find the subscriptions window of the Add-ons dialog. See if your created collection will be added (subscribed) already to the list.

If it's the former please fix it. If it's latter you have done what I previously suggested so you can simply ignore the suggestion.

To prevent possible confusions and make the collection list more readily accessible, why not add "My Collections" link at the top area of the AMO?

Before:
Welcome, XXX My Account Log out

After:
Welcome, XXX My Account My Collection Log out
At this time, a collection does not show up in your Collector list unless you subscribe, and that includes collections you created.

If we want auto-subscribe for created collections, then that is a different bug. I don't think we should have it, but it is worth filing for discussion.

OK.

New bug submitted: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=507866

To sum up the discussion, my conclusion is flawed because I'm not aware of other workarounds at the time I submitted the bug. So let's forget that part. Nevertheless the main problem (no link to the "view collection" page from the "manage collection" page) does exist. Please fix it as soon as possible. Thank you.
I added a link to the breadcrumbs, r56839.
