Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2pre) Gecko/20090728 SeaMonkey/2.0b2pre like Firefox/3.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2pre) Gecko/20090728 SeaMonkey/2.0b2pre

Normally in composing an HTML e-mail, the value for mailnews.wraplength will be respected for a plain-text signature. However, when mailnews.wraplength = 0 the plain-text signature will wrap at the first white-space character, basically word by word.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure SeaMonkey to use a plain-text signature.
2. Set mailnews.wraplength = 0.
3. Open an HTML mail compose window.
Actual Results:
The signature will be formatted word by word down the left side of the compose window.

Expected Results:
The signature should display as it does when composing a plain-text message, i.e., exactly as it is laid out in the plain text file.
Hi Andy, good to see you again!

I can reproduce this, getting a <pre cols=0> around the signature, but isn't it the same as bug 369675 and consequently a duplicate of old bug 221596 as well?
Hi, rsx11m. I kinda got tied up in other things and haven't had much time to devote to SeaMonkey.

You're absolutely right. I'd forgotten I had reported this before, and somehow my search of Bugzilla didn't find it. I had actually used the work-around from bug 221596 previously, and over time I forgot, then when I created a new profile recently, I noticed the bug again. So, yes, this is a duplicate
