To prevent possible confusions and make the collection list more readily
accessible, why don't we add "My Collections" link at the top area of the AMO?

I think that you are suggesting the solution because the My Collections page is difficult to find. If so, I agree that the it is hard to find. However, I am not sure whether the proposed solution is good or not. You or other people might come up with a better solution.
Can you change the summary of this bug to “My Collections page is difficult to find” or something which describes the problem instead of a suggested solution?
Severity: enhancement → normal
Summary: Add "My Collections" after "My Account" → "My Collections" page is difficult to find and access. Please make it more easily accessible and add this link in high-profile areas

Any solution which let users to easily access this page is fine. I would like to have a one-click way to access My Collection when I'm browsing AMO. I entirely miss this page at the time I submitted Bug 507330. The position of "My Collection" is too deeply "buried".

Do you mean changing the title? OK. I did it. Does it sound better now?

Thanks. For tips on writing a good bug report, please see the Bug Writing Guidelines.

Though I do not completely agree on the “add a link in high-profile areas” part, I am confirming this bug because the problem which this request is addressing is now clear.

I would be OK with adding "My Collections" to the Tools dropdown for users that have at least one collection.

Well where is the Tools dropdown? I couldn't see it.
Adding "My Collections" to the top control panel seems make sense to me. You have similar tools over there already. It's also the place for the user to configure their stuff and change details.

Basically where you're suggesting. If you're an add-on developer or AMO editor, etc. there are links up there to go to the various control panels for them. They show in a dropdown list if there's more than one. Adding a "My Collections" link along side these makes sense. It is harder to find than it should be.

Sorry I still don't see such a link. I don't see any dropdown menu other than Other Applications. I don't think I'm an add-on developer or AMO editor. I'm just a normal person who uses Collections.

It doesn't make sense to ordinary people like me who couldn't even see the so-called Tools dropdown. Not all people are either add-on developer or AMO editor.

It is natural that you still do not see a link to My Collections, because no one has written a patch for it yet.

No. I mean Tools dropdown mentioned in Comment #5 and #7. I have a feeling that it is perhaps a link only visible to developers etc., or rather a conditional link.

Yes, that's what I said in comment 7:
> They show in a dropdown list if there's more than one.
If there's not more than one, the link just shows there *not* in a dropdown list.
It's very simple; it's just a menu for links to things like this. If there's only one item it'll just show the link; if there's more than one link it'll show a menu for the multiple links. It's just that previously the things in here were not for anything a normal user would have.

Sorry would you kindly post a screenshot where that "thing" is? A picture is better than words in this case.

Only difference from comment 0 is that it's on the other side of "log out".

A "My Collections" link is now in the new "My Account" menu up top, so it should be much more easily discoverable now.
