I ran into a rather nasty bug today. My laptop just got back from repair and was running Weave 0.4. I upgraded Firefox to the latest Shiretoko nightly, restarted, and then upgrade weave to 0.5.0. I already had bookmarks and such stored in the profile but wanted to replace it with the server-side data (which was up-to-date based on changes from my other laptop, running 0.5.0).

I reset the sync and pulled from the server. After a while Weave finished syncing but had deleted everything in my local profile - bookmarks, history, etc. was all wiped out.

I had backups and multiple copies of everything so this wasn't the end of the world, but it was definitely not what I expected would happen.

This seems like you typed in the wrong passphrase (all the unwrapSymmetricKey errors). If you log out and log back in, it should check if you typed in the right passphrase.

Weave 0.6 will check if your passphrase is correct on log in. So you won't run in to this issue of typing the wrong passphrase and not being able to decrypt the incoming data.
