On 2009-08-02's trunk nightly with a fresh profile, I can cause the following message to be displayed: ASSERT: Invalid menuitem in the folders-menulist Stack Trace: 0:EIO__getFolderIdFromMenuList() 1:EIO_toggleFolderTreeVisibility() 2:oncommand([object XULCommandEvent]) Steps to reproduce: 1) Click on the Bookmarks star 2) In the Folder dropdown, select "Choose..." to expand the folder list 3) Click on the "New Folder" button to create a new folder. 4) Click on the new folder and press the Delete key to delete it. 5) Click on the up arrow next to the Folder dropdown to collapse the folder list. 6) In the Folder dropdown, select "Choose..." again. ** The folder list does not expand 7) Click on the down arrow next to the Folder dropdown to attempt to expand the folder list. The Assert Failed message comes up for me reliably with that set of steps on the new profile on the trunk. On my 3.5.1 profile, I can get the non-expanding dialog to happen reliably, but the Assert Failed only happens occasionally.

Ever confirmed: true
getFolderIdFromMenuList no longer exists and I don't think you can delete folders within the star ui anymore. In any case, the assertion doesn't exist now, so WFM.
