User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070810 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.0.12 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070810 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.0.12 I have encountered this problem in Ubuntu 8.10 as well as in Ubuntu 9.10 Testing (both are FF 3.0.12). When you click with your right mouse button in the address bar, the text is selected and the context menu shows up. So far, so good. However, in the context menu the options cut/copy/delete are disabled. If you right click for a second time in the address bar, the options are enabled as they should be. See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/408044. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Right click in address bar. 2.Copy/cut/delete are greyed out. 3.Click another time to enable them. Actual Results: Copy/cut/delete are greyed out. Expected Results: Copy/cut/delete are enabled

User forgot to mention that this setting is enabled: browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll = true I have confirmed this with a new profile on Firefox 3.0.12 and with my normal profile on Firefox 3.5.1.

This looks like a duplicate of bug 468221, but I'm hesitant to mark this as a duplicate because that bug is very confusing to read (the reporter failed to mention the location bar and "clickSelectsAll = true" at first, only bug 468221 comment #13 is sufficently clear). Based on the report in bug 468221 this looks to be cross platform.

I have confirmed the bug under FF 3.6.3 under Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid). This is the bug that I reported on Launchpad (for FF 3.6): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/579799 Kind regards, Miro

This issue no longer occurs in Firefox 17. I don't know if the browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll enabled configuration parameter is still used, but it has no effect on the pop-up menu.
