What was your previous version and is this only the first time after starting Firefox?
Does safe-mode change this behavior? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
Whiteboard: previous version of ff was 3.5.1, menu speed on in that however the rest of the browser is very buggy - probably the worst version of FF yet I am sorry to say. Not tried FF in safe mode.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.x or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 4 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Also, ensure you have the most up to date graphics drivers, operating system updates, and plugin versions (flash, java, etc). If you continue to see this issue with the newest Firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
