My usage is that I'm regularly into the browser looking at things, then going to other programs and doing work in them for a while then back again.

Since the 0.5 upgrade it seems that almost every time I leave Firefox for a while it does a sync and uses lots of CPU (possibly related to bug 508106). On a mac book this is very annoying.

As my typical usage is to spend most days on my book with two users that sync, I don't actually need to sync very frequently - I'd be happy with once a day, and a manual sync if I really need to. So it would be nice to have an option to limit the frequency of sync on a time basis, e.g. when necessary, every 1 hour, every 12 hours, once a day etc.
