Since last 2 days, I am unable to view GMAIL inbox properly. After entering credentials firefox shows progress bar. Then it shows the "failed to load" page & after clicking on reload link, the gmail inbox is loaded in a small corner on top of the page see the attached screenshot

Also I have noticed that many other websites that use ajax are working considerably slower.

Have verified using safemode. So not an addon issue & gmail loads fine on same computer, same connection in IE 8

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to GMAIL
2. Watch inbox fail to load
3. click on reload link
Actual Results:
gmail inbox doesnt load

Expected Results:
gmail should be displayed appropriately

Can you try the workaround in Bug 505029 and place your results here as an
additional comment?

Deleting cert8.db didnt help. Can still see the problem
Creating a new profile fixed the problem
That is a start.
Did you close Firefox before you deleted the cert8.db file ?
Your old profile is still broken in the Firefox safemode ?
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Yes I had closed Firefox before deleting cert8.db & had started it in safemode
Can you please clear the disk cache try it again and if that doesn't work clear the cookies ?

(tools/clear recent history/Time range: everything and check only the cache the first time (under details) and the next time cookies.)
unfortunately I dont have access to profile now. But I had cleared all data ( history, coookies, sessions etc) earlier and still experienced the problem.

Will see if I can reproduce this on some other profile
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

Also, please consider using the most recent Firefox 4 beta build, your bug may be resolved there.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
