Messages are being archived in the Archives folder of the Account despite the preference "Achives folder on Local Folders".
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose "Settings" for one account (I did this for my GMail account with POP)
2. Choose "Copies and Folders", under "Keep message archives in" select "Archives folder on " and choose "Local Folders" from the combo box
3. click ok
4. Try to archive a message
Actual Results:
The message is archived in the Archives folder for the account.
Expected Results:
The message should have been archived in the Archives folder on Local Folders.
This bug seems to appear consistently for my gmail account, occasionaly for my main account (POP), and not for other accounts ...

mmm ... now I cannot reproduce the bug myself ...
I moved the "Archived" messages manually to the "Archives" in Local Folders, then I deleted the Archives folder in the account and now it seems to work properly.

Can you try to reproduce with a fresh profile, and if you do reproduce can you look into Tools -> Error console ?

Sorry to take so long to came back at this.
I am currently using 3.0b4 - the bug is still there with my standard profile.
On the other hand, I created a fresh new profile and used for a little while - there is no problem in this case.
So I guess the issue is something in my profile...
That means that somebody having the same problem should just create a new profile.
I'll do that myself, some day I 'm inclined to reconfigure all my email ... :-)
