User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Whenever I wath anything on BBC iplayer or any online streamed video, the video runs for about 10-15 seconds and then momentarily freezes, and then restarts having missed all the frames during the pause, which usually lasts for about 2-3 seconds. This continues for as long as you watch video and never, ever corrects itself. It never does this in IE7 or 8, so it's not my computer. The second problem, is that games using java applications, i.e. pogo, suddenly freeze half way through a game and do not restart. Again something that never happens on IE7 or 8. If these issues are not resolved quickly, I shall return to IE despite all it's faults! This happened with the old version if Firefox too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.play any streaming video Actual Results: 1.play any video 2.Every 10 -15 seconds video freezes. 3.video restarts 2 - 3 secs later having missed those 2-3 secs of data. This continues ad infinitum. Expected Results: video should play normally.
I am experiencing the exact events listed in the comment above from Harry. Any video that I play using Mazilla runs for approx 10 to 15 seconds and then freezes for a few seconds and then restarts having lost or skipped a bit of the video. This does not seem to happen with IE or other browsers but I prefer to use Mazilla. I will have to switch if it isn't fixed soon. It also happens on another computer in my home as well so I know it isn't my computer. I am running Vista on this computer and XP on the other one. This problem has been happening for quite some time and I have been ignoring it but since I bought the second computer and now know it isn't my system I feel strongly that it needs to be looed into and fixed. You may contact me and access my computers if needed to reproduce this problem for comparison.
I have already stopped using Firefox, but not only for the problem above, but because of the insessant pop-ups, even though the pop up blocker is turned on and set to aggressive. Apparently it is something to do with the flash player and despite my attempts to prevent these numerous pop-ups it continues unabated. Firefox is free and you get what you pay for..... in other words, you get nothing for nothing.
