User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Few times.. Page loaded fine and then suddenly goes blank whereas the status bar shows the staus 'Done'.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reload the page - and it happens again.
2.
3.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.3pre) Gecko/20090804 Shiretoko/3.5.3pre

I clicked Reload 6 times and the page loads fine for me.
Version: unspecified → 3.5 Branch
If I enter the following (in ther URL field) :
http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=mike+jones

I get a blank page and doesn't matter if I try to reload the page (but that trick seemed to work with other websites)

But if I got to :
http://www.google.com
everything works fine

Workaround install Firefox 3.0.14 as it's not affected by this issue apparently.
More clues...

I've uninstalled all Addons and Extensions from Firefox 3.5.3. Only Plugins available are those that came stock (getPlus for Adobe 1.6.2.44, Goggle Update 1.2.183.7, Mozilla Default Plug-in, Shockwave Flash).

Problem is still present. If I go an type "Mike Jone" (with or without quotes) in the URL field I get a blank page with status DONE.

I've downgraded Firefox by increments (with the help of http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php?old_firefox=60#Download) and managed to have a webpage to show up only once version Firefox 2.0.0.20 got installed.

In other words a HUGE bug has been introduced in major update version 3. I call this a HUGE bug because this problem is not limited to Google or to words typed in the URL field. This problem occurs also while browsing on some other websites. This issue some time can be resolved by refreshing multiple times but at other times it just doesn't get worked around.

SUPPLEMENTAL NOTE:
OS: Windows 7 RTM Ultimate
SOFTWARES INSTALLED: Google Chrome, other than that none whatsoever (this is a brand new Windows 7 install). (Windows firewall got Firefox in the exclusion list Private & Public)
Firefox ADDONS, PLUGINS: NONE
Doesn't work. Have you tried to type "mike jones" or even firefox directly in the URL field? Do you have Windows 7?
I've tried safe mode and also tried a reset profile with all options checked (Disable all add-ons, Reset toolbars and controls, etc).
Page loads and goes blank after switching to other tabs. Will reload successfully but go blank again after switching to other tabs. Sometimes pages are just blank. I tried updating flash as suggested in one post but it didn't help.
Latest URL that is giving me the same problem (I have the same prob. here i.e., status shows 'Done' but page is blank):
http://m.sg.yahoo.com/?p=us

Blank page loads.. if you click 'refresh' it loads the page fine and then goes blank again. and sometimes loads fine, but if you switch tab and come back to previous tab it shows 'blank'. I am using version 3.5.5 of Mozilla Firefox.

Additional Info:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Bugs with similar symptoms: #398119 (2.0), #531981 (3.5.5).
