User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070611 Firefox/3.0.12 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.12) Gecko/2009070611 Firefox/3.0.12 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I frequently use a public machine and when I check my finances or email accounts I always tell Firefox to "Never remember passwords for this site".... however sure enough if I reopen the site a little while later it asks me all over again if I want it to remember passwords. Never should mean "NEVER"! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Sign into a password protected account 2. Tell Firefox NEVER FOR THIS SITE when it asks you if you want it to remember. 3. Close out Firefox. Reopen Firefox and revisit the site. You will be asked again. Actual Results: See above Expected Results: Should not ask again if you told it NEVER to remember for that site. Annoying, but not a breach of privacy or security I suppose.

It's possible (even probable) that this machine resets the profile after logoff / Firefox quitting. I think that's a fairly common practice for public machines (imagine if you did save passwords). Do you have any specific sites for which this happens? Also keep in mind, things like www.bank.com & www2.bank.com are different. Alternatively, you can check in Options | Security & just uncheck the "Remember passwords for sites" box & you won't get any prompts.
Please update if you are still experiencing this and did the steps mentioned in comment 1 helped you.
