Everyone knows how annoying it is to have your Firefox opened when you uninstall a program under Windows (for example), especially when you have a saved session. I think it would be a good idea to put a dialog whether to launch the browser when it is launched via a link.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run an application that launches a browser to load its website (often happens when you uninstall some soft).
2.
Actual Results:
Have your browser opened without any consent on your behalf.

Expected Results:
Ask you whether to open the browser.
Not sure if it is technically possible for Firefox to know where it was started from, plus manually or automatically. Might be impossible to implement.
Summary: Feature Request: block URLs from other software → Ask whether to open browser when automatically started by other software
Severity: normal → S3
