Isn't this supposed to be a release candidate?
Release candidates are NOT supposed to be marked Beta. 
The idea is that, after making the candidate, if you then decide that that
candidate IS the release, then you don't have to do any more builds and tests.
That release candidate IS the release.  You only need to add another tag to 
the tree.
