Firefox will not let me close by clicking on the x in the top right. It will just blink at me and do nothing. I have to hit CTRL-F4 or even ALT-F4 and then just open Chrome. I am frustrated! :( Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Firefox. 2.Try to close a tab or firefox. 3.Cannot do so, whatsoever, unless CTRL-F4 or ALT-F4. Actual Results: Same as usual. Expected Results: Close tab or browser altogether. n/a
Correction, sorry. Tabs close fine. The whole program requires an ALT-F4 to closer out of it... Thank you.
So do you still have any issues? As I read the bug, it appears that the top-right [X] in the window doesn't work?
Yes. That is correct.
Does it actually happen every single time, as you wrote in comment 0 - i.e. even when closing the only window with a single empty tab? If so, it's most likely something in your configuration is causing the problem, please try http://support.mozilla.com/ for help, in particular the Safe mode / another profile. Otherwise, does the description in bug 507562 look similar? (Your description is different, but perhaps you're seeing other symptoms described in that bug.)
