Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird version 2.0.0.22 (20090605) Trying to send e.g. a MS Word document as attachment with macrons in the filename e.g. "the quick brown fox jumps ĀĒĪŌŪthe lazy dogthe quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.docx" causes a "Send Message Error" "Unable to open the temporary file (filename). Check your 'Temporary Directory' setting." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create document with above filename (the ĀĒĪŌŪ should be macronised in this and the details box) 2. In Windows open Thunderbird and attach file. 3. Try to send Actual Results: A "Send Message Error" "Unable to open the temporary file (filename). Check your 'Temporary Directory' setting." dialogue pops up. Expected Results: The message is sent. In Linux, Thunderbird does send the message at the expense of stripping the macrons off. Characters used in test were unicode (hex) 0100, 0112, 012A, 014C, 016A
