In order to ensure a great international experience with the Fennec sms feature, we should test in as many countries as possible. This is a tracking bug for localizers to comment on about any issues encountered.

I tested it in Germany.

- text arrived after only a few seconds
- text came from [phone]

No other problems.

For Greece:
- sms arrived in a few seconds too.
- sms came from [phone].
- I had no idea for those pages, when are we starting localization? :)

In a few weeks. Most of the pages are being redesigned.

- host getfennec.com: Host getfennec.com not found: 2(SERVFAIL)
  So I've got a default page of my mobile provider

What do we do about the failure to send to Ehsan, noted in comment 7?  How do we follow-up on that?

Other than comment 7, seems like we have good global SMS support.

I want, but I'm no longer living in Iran (I'm in Toronto now).  That said, I have my Iranian cell phone which works with Rogers roaming, would it be interesting for you to test with that?  If yes, then I can do it.

Eshan, thanks, but no, don't worry about testing with roaming.  Is there anyone you know in Iran that could give it a quick test?

I would be happy to, but it seems like the SMS form is no longer on <https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/>.  Can you please provide me with an updated URL?

I just tested this with a friend in Iran, and she received the SMS with about an hour of delay from this number: [phone].

Awesome, thanks Ehsan.  That's too bad about the hour delay, I'm guessing that problem belongs to our SMS provider.  I will notify them, and ask if it's a common issue (or even a known one).

We're done here.  Sorry, no solid results on better service for Iran.  We've mentioned it to our SMS provider a few times, but it's really out of our hands :\
