User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2

The new version loads really fast but if the website (many sites tried with same result - specifically livejournal.com and plentyoffish et al) does not perform quickly enough the page seems to load but then freeze (no more items finish rendering) and then if you click on any pulldown menu or any other link the program crashes or goes into application not responding. I am really not impressed with the overall stability which was firefox's basic best feature before this!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.load a page
2.click through to load a java item before page finishes
3.crash
Actual Results:
it may take a number of pages but the darn thing crashes often - I have rebooted my computer several times and force quitted the program over and over.

Expected Results:
it should just run pages even if they are not fully loaded

I think you should roll back the upgrade!

If I don;t get a patch soon I'm going to try Chrome.
Please first try basic troubleshooting:

- Firefox's safe-mode to exclude extension/theme problems
- a new profile
- a reinstall in a new empty folder
- updating plug-ins like flash and java
