Details

When adding a tag that already exists in a chat you should be given a error (something along the lines of "support~ the tag you entered already exists") instead of nothing being shown at all.
Summary: When adding a duplicate chat tag a error should be shown. → When adding a duplicate chat tag a error message should be shown.

What happens when the tag doesn't exist? do you get confirmation that it was added or is it nothing as well?
If the tag doesn't exist yet, it is created for the first time. If the tag has invalid characters, the invalid characters are stripped. If the tag is empty (or composed entirely of whitespace/invalid characters), it is silently dropped. For this bug to be fixed, a tag command that results in no changes should result in a warning message.
my point being, if a good tag is added silently without confirmation then it seems odd to me to point out a duplicate tag when the result is the same - the chat now has the desired tag. See my clarifying question above, you didn't actually answer if a new tag has any sort of confirmation or if's added silently.
A new tag is confirmed, which is why the silent behavior for a duplicate tag is confusing. This is an example of the existing behavior: (6:17 PM) zzxc: /tag ux,download (6:17 PM) support: ~Added tags: ux, download
I'm WONTFIXing this, since we don't have Live Chat at the moment and even if we decide to have one in the future it would be using different technology.
