Reproduction: 1. Use a Unix build or set pref |editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines| to 0. 2. Copy multiple lines of text 3. Paste them in a single line text edit (e.g. the URLbar) 4. Try to get to the first line and back to the last Actual result: From bug 23485 - caret-up doesn't work, but home/caret-left does move to the previous line. *Very* irritating. - caret-down moves the caret one line down *on the screen* (i.e. it is under the textedit field!) to the position where the second line would end, if it where a 2-line textarea. Expected result: caret-up down work just like in a multi-line text edit. Additional comments: See bug 50935 for why there can be multiple lines in a single line text edit. ASSIGNing to buster per akk's comment in bug 50935 and because he knows the discussion in bug 23485.
will propably be minused anyway, but I'll try...
