When -moz-box-shadow is applied to an element that is 100% of the browser window width, the dropshadow causes a horizontal scrollbar.

The w3c documentation for box-shadow says "Shadows do not influence layout..." (http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/WD-css3-background-20080910/#the-box-shadow) but in this instance, they do.

Shadows extending beyond the page bounds should be clipped.
