Since 3.5.x, the Next and Previous buttons on the find bar have been reversed in Linux. In 3.5.2 on Windows, and in earlier versions of Firefox on Linux, the Next button is on the left, immediately after the input field. In 3.5.2 on Linux, the Previous button is first.

My preference would be for the layout to be returned to how is has been in previous versions of Firefox. But the essential thing is that it is consistent between Windows and Linux, as I and many other people use both platforms, and it is quite frustrating to continually be clicking the wrong button.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose Edit > Find (or Ctrl-F)
2. Observe "Next" then "Previous" on Windows or "Previous" then "Next" in Linux
3.

"Next" then "Previous" on Windows or "Previous" then "Next" in Linux

Expected Results:  
"Next" then "Previous" on Windows and "Next" then "Previous" on Linux

Are you talking about Back and Forwards buttons? If so, maybe take a screen shot of how it looks, and how you want it to look.

Completely forget about that comment, I obviously didn't read the bug right. I am in linux right now, Ubuntu 9.04, and mine are also Previous with the Arrow Up then Next with the Arrow Down. On my Windows XP Machine It is the opposite with the Next Arrow Down and Previous Arrow Up

I can confirm this on Firefox 3.5.5 in Ubuntu 9.10. The arrow on the "Next" button also points up when pressed (bug #531607).

Here is a screenshot showing the problem. No extensions or themes other than the Ubuntu default extensions. Firefox 3.5.8. Note that the theme looks generally different from on Windows.
