Details

These machines were cloned from Virtual Appliances, and apparently VMware doesn't like you to upgrade the vmware tools on such things. They're doing OK performance wise right now but we should figure out how to get VMware tools on them nonetheless.
Finally got this done. The solution was to change the OS from "Other" to "Linux"
