User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009061212 Iceweasel/3.0.6 (Debian-3.0.6-1) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090717 SeaMonkey/2.0b1 Seamonkey 2 Beta I have set as my default browser. When I click on hyperlinks from other programs (Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Instantbird, OpenOffice.org) these webpages are opened in a new window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set Seamonkey as default via Control Panel 2.Click on Hyperlink from another program (Listed above are those I've tried) Actual Results: The URL is opened in a New Window Expected Results: I would expect it to open in a new Tab in an existing window and that the focus would be changed to this new tab in an existing window. I orginally was going to file this into OS integration, but thought it may work better in Tabbed Browsing, feel free to move it. Can that be done?
This behavior should be configurable. Look under Edit | Preferences | Browser | Tabbed Browsing. The settings you're looking for will be in the section "Links from other applications".
fulner, Comments 1 of setting up solve your problem?

Yes, that fixed my problem. I really though that I had looked through all of those options before I submitted the bug. I apologize. Just my two cents: I think this should be the default action, and one should have to change to allow the other.
