What do you mean by clicking the top menu tabs? Can you please attach a screenshot to this bug?

Ok, this looks like that it is caused by an extension. Can you please run Firefox in Safe Mode which will disable all your installed extensions. If it works you should start Firefox in normal mode again and disable installed extensions step by step to identify the problematic one. http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
