https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 IE tab is only guaranteed to work until 3.6a1pre. Not in 3.6a1 (alpha version of Firefox 3.6), or 3.6a2 (what you're currently using). Please contact the author for an update. Not Mozilla, because this add-on explicitly tells the world that it doesn't work with the latest version.

That does not make it work...
If an addon does not work with the latest version of firefox (like this one), it will not work. The developers need to release an update which support firefox 3.6, which they are unlikely to do right now, given the fact it is still only pre beta. but they may.
