Details
Same as bug 469523, but for compiled tests.
1- See if something minimal can be done from the patches I attached in that bug.
2- Try to "port" bug 482084 (and followups) for this test suite too...

Personally, I wouldn't bother. We shouldn't be writing compiled code tests unless there's no other option.
