User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090729 Firefox/3.5.2 Currently in FF "normal" http-sites look more or less the same as "secure" httpS-sites since both have just a white background. From a security perspective it would make surfing more secure if the background of the urlbar would change the color depeding on the security level of the site: - level high: green - level low: yellow - level broken: red (The lock-icon in the status bar is more or less out of a users' focus while surfing - so he won't realize changes from level high to level broken if only the small lock-icon changes.) Reproducible: Always
Firefox has moved away from coloring the address bar bug 364977 - Address Bar for Phishing Sites should be colored red bug 439951 - Yellow bar when using encrypted connection is gone
Whiteboard: [wontfix?]
wontfix - we used do this to some extent, but went away from it for the all the bells and whistles larry has.
