"imap-message is not a registered protocol" error when clicking growl new message notification for new imap mail

Details

STR:
1. Receive email in IMAP inbox (if necessary, send to self).
2. Watch carefully until notification pops up. If impatient, encourage by using cmd+shift+t
3. Click Growl notification.

Expected Result: Opens email message.

Actual result: opens new message window which pops up alert saying "imap-message is not a registered protocol". The new window's title is then "nullMozilla Thunderbird 3.0 Beta 3". The window itself is empty. The write button does seem to work. (it opens another window).
