User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2a2pre) Gecko/20090830 Namoroka/3.6a2pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2a2pre) Gecko/20090830 Namoroka/3.6a2pre

I had been using 3.6a2pre nightlies with Firebug 1.5X.0.a21 quite happily for a few days, when 1.5X.0.a22 came out. I upgraded when prompted, and discovered that Firefox repeatedly crashed on start-up. I spent some time investigating the problem, and reported the bug to the Firebug group, but was told to report the bug here:

    http://groups.google.com/group/firebug/msg/bf6f38be0c21d7ea

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new profile.
2. Install firebug-1.5X.0a22.xpi from http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.5X/
3. Restart when prompted.
4. Open Firebug by clicking the status-bar icon.
5. Switch to the Script tab.
6. Click the little arrow on the tab to reveal the menu.
7. Choose "Enable".

Actual Results:
* Firefox window vanishes without a trace.
* Terminal where Firefox was started says merely "Segmentation fault"

Expected Results:
* Script debugging is enabled.

Installing firebug-1.5X.0a21.xpi in the same build of Firefox presents no problems, with or without the script tab enabled.

No crash-reporting dialog appeared, and trying to visit "about:crashes" gives me an error: "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded".
Are you using an official mozila build, or a linux distro? Linux distros do not have crash repporter, so please use an official mozilla build. then, follow https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report.

I originally downloaded a tarball from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-1.9.2, and every day it gives me a "new version available" update, as a nightly build should. That's not official like a release build is official, but I believe it's still officially made by Mozilla.
