Attached patch provides the long-standing requested change to shift default search from Google to Yahoo. Presently, Google serves its search results in Kurdish (Sorani), which uses a modified Arabic script. Kurdish (Kurmanji) uses Latin scripts. When Kurmanji users use Google to search for results, they get results displayed in Arabic script, making the service completely unreadable, along with a mismatch in the script that Firefox uses for its localization.
Patch switches the default search in region.properties.

As far as I heard at the 2010 summit, this is unlikely to be fixed. Probably Bug 449112 will fix the issue.
