The URL this sends the browser to (http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/index.php3)
has disappeared; the browsers gets back a 404 error page. In fact, it seems like
a blank Apache installation.
Seen on Linux, Build ID 2000090506, but obviously platform independant.
Is that the same URL as is listed in Mozilla? (I use 4.x bookmarks, not a fresh
install). I clicked on the URL you listed and it was valid.
i get a 404 too with 2000090508
Same with NC4.75. The page simply isn't there - the bookmark should be updated.

Worksforme with Mac nightly 2000090408. Note that the bookmark is for
<http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/index.php3>, which gets redirected to
<http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/index.php>. If this isn't happening for you,
please reopen and give details of your platform, proxy (if any), etc, because it
will be a networking problem with redirects.
Marking this as a dependency on bug 51193, to remind me to update the bookmark to
<http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/> which will help to avoid future
implementation-specific linkrot.
i don't use a proxy.

Looks like a Networking problem, then? But I'm confused as to why it doesn't work
with 4.75 either. It works just fine for me with 4.7 on Mac OS (as well as with
Seamonkey).

I'm not sure but I think I know what happened. A new set of booksmarks were
checked in the other day. Also whoever does NewZilla decided to reinstall their
OS or apache or something. I noticed it was a 404 also when the bookmarks first
came out. The root domain itself just had a standard first install apache page.
Then today I saw this bug and tried the page again. This time it works fine.
I think they just reinstalled Apache or something, not related to mozilla.

From a fresh Install of 2000090508 I clicked on the link in the bookmarks and
got the 404 page. I copied and pasted the URL into a NS4.7 window and it
redirected through to the .php page. I then clicked the reload button in Mozilla
and the redirect occured successfully.
Note however that the site is using a custom 404 page eg
http://www.gerbilbox.com/newzilla/sdasdasdas
so perhaps it is a problem with the php script generating the 404 (The 404 page
probably tracks referers, does Moz put something funny in the referer field for
bookmarks?). Probably an issue on the server then?

I just checked it with the exact same build as I reported the bug with, and the
web site loads fine. Seems to be the web site people were having some problems,
and that's been dealt with. Does anyone else still getting a 404?
