Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080315 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009080315 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.13 On a Ubuntu 8.10, i'm using Firefox 3.0.13ю Today i had several Firefox windows with several tabs/pages in each (among which Yahoo entry page, and a PDF: fbi.h-da.de/fileadmin/personal/j.wietzke/mein_ordner/DAS_BUCH/Tips_Tricks.pdf), among which one window whose tab address was http://localhost:5467 : a local service that i hadn’t launched, the tab merely displayed “Failed to connect” (maybe another tab was open, maybe not). I focus on this window and type CTRL-N to get a new Firefox window. Instead, I get the following popup: Assertion Failed ------------------------- ASSERT: *** Search: _installLocation: engine has no file! Stack Trace: 0: ENSURE_WARN(false,_installLocation: engine has no file!,214750037) 1:() 2:() 3:() 4:epsGetAttr([object Object],hidden) 5:() 6:() 7:currentEngine() 8:get_currentEngine() 9:updateDisplay() 10:init() 11:([object XULElement],9) and selecting then in the menu: Help -> About Mozilla Firefox, i only get a very small window embryo of, say, 10x20 pixels. Killing the (only) firefox process and re-launching, i get back all my previous session except for the window i had focused on. Couldn’t reproduce. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
i use a QWERTY keyboard, with an optional cyrillic layout (activated/deactivated with ALT+SHIFT) maybe the cyrillic layout was active when the bug occurred, but i tried also with it and couldn't reproduce either
