Is this a very new regression? Perhaps because of Bug 512235.

Ah, probably, you set mousewheel.acceleration.factor to 0, right?

Do you use KatMouse (or some other software that modify the mouse behavior globally)? I use it and the mouse wheel doesn't work any more when it's running. I've added an exception and now it is working fine.

(In reply to comment #6) > Ah, probably, you set mousewheel.acceleration.factor to 0, right? No, I do not touch any preferences and about:config. Minefield start with new profile. For your information, mousewheel.acceleration.factor is 10 (default)

I think Bug 512235 should be backed out, if the fix for this isn't trivial and done very soon.

looks like that this is a regression of bug 507222.

(In reply to comment #11) > I think Bug 512235 should be backed out, if the fix for this isn't trivial and > done very soon. The chekedin of Bug 512235 is not within the regression range.
Bug 507222 is the obvious candidate. I won't be able to fire up a VM with Windows XP for several hours, so if necessary I would suggest backing it out.
Can anyone else reproduce this on XP?

I cannot reproduced on XP on VMWare. I think that the cause is the mouse driver's behavior. Alice, what do you use?

(In reply to comment #16) Standard Mouse > I cannot reproduced on XP on VMWare. I think that the cause is the mouse > driver's behavior. Alice, what do you use? I used Windows XPpro SP3 Japanese edition. Device manager said "HDI 準拠マウス" OK, I installed Windows XP on the other HDD of the same PC(same mouse) from Windows CD and applied SP3 and Microsoft Update. Wheel scroll works properly NOW! Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090903 Minefield/3.7a1pre ID:20090903063153 So, I think that the system file and registry of my Windows may have been corrupted to lose compatibility. It is difficult to identify which system file and registry is incompatible with Minefield.

どこでもホイール(DokoWheel)v3.7 for Windows 98, ME,NT4.0, 2000,XP (http://www2k.biglobe.ne.jp/~araken/qdoko.htm )breaks wheel scroll on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090925 Minefield/3.7a1pre ID:20090925042642. "DokoWheel" is a mouse utility. This enables scroll by the turn of the wheel in an application non-for IntelliMouse. The problem dissolves by setting Minefield in an exception.

Using KatMouse. FF3.5 worked with KatMouse enabled. For FF3.6, an exception must be added to KatMouse in order to ignore FF. Thanks to Sylvain Pasche for the suggestion.
